Staff raise cash for local charity

Staff at Jennings Ford in Stockton took time out from the dealership to spend an afternoon messing about on the river - and it was all to raise money for a very worthy cause.
Thanks to staff at the Yarm Road dealership participating in the recent Bell Boat Race, which is in its fourth consecutive year and organised by local charity, Daisy Chain, a grand total of £232 has been raised for the Cleveland Alzheimers Residential Centre, based in Stockton.
When staff at the dealership heard the Rotary Clubs were looking for main sponsors and teams to participate in the event and having participated in last year’s event, they were more than willing to do their bit for the community.
On the day of the race, more than 30 teams assembled at Castlegate Quay on Stockton Riverside for a day of splashing good fun, which once again, was hailed a huge success.
“This is the second consecutive year we have taken part in the event. It’s a great way of having fun and at the same time raising money for charity,” said Nas Khan, managing director of Jennings Motor Group.
Cleveland Alzheimer’s is a local charity committed to the provision of high quality care for sufferers of Alzheimer’s disease and associated dementias.
