Staff at Jennings Ford's branch network across the region are pulling out all the stops for the imminent arrival of the new March registration plate.
With the busiest time in the motor industry upon us once again, the group's Sunderland, Gateshead, Stockton and Middlesbrough branches have to date, taken orders for 328 new ‘10’ plate Ford models, including both retail and motability.
Paul Beadling, sales manager at the Riverside Road site, off Wessington Way in Sunderland, said; “We are delighted and positively encouraged by the number of orders already taken for the new ‘10’ registration plate change.
In addition to the Ford range offering something for everyone, the government’s scrappage incentive has, without a doubt, contributed towards boosting sales as customers continue to take advantage of up to £2000 off the cost of a new, safer and more economical model in exchange for their existing vehicle.”
Britain’s best-loved car, the Ford Fiesta, which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008, continues to dominate the super-mini-market with its fantastic looks, lovable character and more importantly, affordable price.
Paul added; “The Fiesta continues to be the most popular model with customers. Behind the innovative design lies a car that remains true to Fiesta fundamentals of practicality, affordability, agility and safety.”
With its dynamic interior and sophisticated exterior, the new Ford Fiesta has also been voted ‘Car of the Year 2009’ and ‘Best Supermini’ by What Car? Magazine.
Customers can take their pick from an extensive line-up of specification and trim options, from Titanium luxury and Zetec sportiness, to the affordability of Studio and Style models. In addition, a Fiesta ECOnetic model is also available which boasts a 1.6-litre diesel engine with emissions of only 98g/km, is capable of averaging more than 76 miles per gallon and is currently exempt from road tax.
Other models in the Ford range include the Ka, Focus, Fusion, C-MAX, Mondeo, Galaxy, S-MAX and Kuga, which are readily available to test drive at the group's branches across the region.
