STYLISH AND ECONOMICAL NEW FIESTA ARRIVES AT JENNINGS FORD

The all-new Ford Fiesta is proving popular with customers since its arrival at Jennings Ford’s Middlesbrough, Stockton and Gateshead dealerships.
The group’s Cargo Fleet Lane and Yarm Road branches have taken delivery of the latest fuel efficient model to join the Ford family, which features a sharper design and a host of exclusive technology features, in addition to an extensive range of six powertrains and a Titanium X Series, with prices starting at £9795.
Since the very first Fiesta model was produced in 1976, Ford’s stylish, practical and economical model has been a phenomenal success worldwide.
Thanks to the all-new Fiesta’s fresh look and award-winning efficient engines, demand for Britain’s best selling car is expected to continue throughout 2013 and beyond.
Colin Massey, sales manager at Jennings Ford in Middlesbrough, said; “It’s been 36 years since the Fiesta broke the mould as a stylish, practical and economical car and since then more than 15 million motorists have purchased the model around the world.
“Advanced new technologies have allowed Ford to take the new Fiesta to new heights regarding fuel efficiency.”
Customers can take their pick from the 100PS and 125PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engines, the 2012 “International Engine of the Year”, 80PS 1.0-litre petrol engines with direct-injection and Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing, a 75 PS 1.5-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine with optimised fuel injection, low friction piston coatings and a variable pressure oil pump.
In addition, a 95PS 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, producing 200Nm of torque, a 105PS 1.6-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine or a 60PS and 82PS 1.25-litre petrol engine are also available.
As standard, Ford is offering its Auto-Start-Stop system, which automatically shuts down the engine when the vehicle is idle and restarts the engine when the driver wants to move off, in the 1.0-litre EcoBoost, 1.0-litre petrol and 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi ECOnetic Technology powertrains.
Ford has developed new chassis and suspension components to improve the ride quality and refinement of the new Fiesta and tuned the Ford Electronic Power Assisted Steering system.
For peace of mind motoring, the new Fiesta’s package of leading Ford driver assistance and safety features includes MyKey, a segment-first technology that allows parents to encourage safer driving and limit their teenager’s exposure to risk at the wheel, as well as in-car connectivity system SYNC.
SYNC features Emergency Assistance that directly connects the vehicle occupants to local emergency services operators after an accident.
New to the Fiesta and available as part of an optional Driver Assistance pack (including rear parking sensors and powerfold mirrors) is the first-in-class technology Active City Stop, a system which has been well received in the Focus and designed to help drivers avoid low speed collisions.
Customers opting for the Titanium X model can take advantage of additional features such as the Keyfree system and partial leather as standard.
