A member of staff at Jennings Ford, part of the Jennings Motor Group, has been rewarded for his loyalty for the third time.

Paul Dodds, 45, from Consett, who works at the group’s Eslington Park dealership in Gateshead as a workshop foreman, has achieved 25 years’ loyalty with the company.

This is the third occasion dedicated Paul has been the recipient of loyalty rewards after being presented with vouchers when he achieved 15 years and 20 years’ service.

The presentation took place when the dealership’s service manager, Ian Stewart, handed the loyalty vouchers to Paul.

Paul said; “The loyalty reward programme is a great incentive for staff. Over the years I have been given many opportunities to further progress my career within the Group. Working with a good team, having continuous support from my employer and being happy in my job are the main reasons for my loyalty.”

Paul’s career in motors started when he was appointed as a car valeter. Within a year, he started gaining relevant qualifications and experience as a technician.

More than a decade ago, Paul was one of the first employees at Jennings Ford to achieve Master technician status which resulted in a promotion.

In 2011, another promotion was on the cards for Paul when he took on the role of workshop foreman, the role he currently holds today.

As workshop controller, Paul is responsible for overseeing a team of 12 technicians, liaising with customers, authorising work to be carried out on customer’s vehicles, preparing quotations and ensuring work is carried out to the company’s strict standards.

Paul is one of 23 members of staff across the Jennings Motor Group who will be rewarded for achieving a combined loyalty of 535 years’ service in 2013.
