A member of staff at Jennings Ford in Gateshead has been rewarded for his loyalty to the company.
David Scott, 46, from Ouston, near Chester-le-Street, works as a technician within the service department at the group’s Eslington Park branch where, he has worked for the past 30 years.
Since completing the apprenticeship at the age of 21, David has serviced and repaired thousands of vehicles for customers at the branch.
“I’ve always loved cars and bikes so when I left school, the natural progression for me was to embark on a four-year Apprenticeship programme with the aim to qualify as a technician,” said David.
Over the years, David has owned and built up an AC Cobra Replica, the British built and designed sports car that was produced during the 1960s, in addition to the two-seater open top sportscar, the Lotus 7 Replica.
David added; “I’ve always enjoyed my job, which is why I haven’t felt the need to work or do anything else.”
The presentation took place at the branch in Gateshead, where Ian Stewart handed the loyalty vouchers to David.
Ian said; “David is a conscientious and hard working member of staff. It was a pleasure presenting him with the vouchers.”
