Tip top service scoops award for Jennings’ service department

When it comes to servicing cars and providing a tip top service to customers, the service team at Jennings in Washington are cruising ahead – and they’ve got the award to prove it.
The service department, based on Parsons Road in Washington, has beaten tough competition from the group’s other dealerships throughout the region, and scooped the ‘Service Department of the Year’ award for 2007.
Nicky Dalkin, operations director for the Jennings Motor Group, said;
“We have many internal awards currently in operation across the Jennings Group, but this is the first of its kind to have been implemented for the Service Departments.”
Nicky added; “The award was initiated in recognition of achieving extremely high standards not only in workmanship, but also as a result of consistently achieving outstanding levels of customer care throughout the year.”
Despite facing tough competition from service departments at the Group’s Sunderland, South Shields, Gateshead, Middlesbrough and Stockton dealerships, service manager, Alan Davison and his team at Parsons Road in Washington scooped first place.
Alan said; “We strive to provide the highest possible service to our customers at all times and we are absolutely delighted to have won the award, especially as this is the first year the award has been implemented. It’s fantastic!”
Criteria for the award included; achieving outstanding levels of customer care, meeting objectives set out by both Ford Motor Company and Mazda UK, training achievements, surpassing levels of health and safety, in addition to taking steps to protect the environment.
Alan went on to say; “The service department team at Washington consists of service advisors, warranty clerks, workshop supervisors, drivers, parts representatives and technicians, all of whom have contributed towards achieving the award.”
