Tony is a top trainee

A young and ambitious employee of Jennings Ford has a one in ten chance of scooping a national award organised by Ford Motor Company.
Tony Puntin, 20, from Harlow Green in Gateshead, has just completed Ford’s three-year Master Apprenticeship Programme at JenningsFord’s Eslington Park dealership in Gateshead.
Thanks to his continuous hard work and commitment to succeed, he is currently one of Ford’s top trainees after placing in the Top Ten national league and is in with a chance of scooping the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ title.
Tony said; “I’m over the moon about being placed in Ford’s Top Ten league. To be in with a chance of winning a national award is an absolutely fantastic opportunity for me.”
Tony and nine other Apprentices from Ford’s dealer network, will attend Ford’s training college in Loughborough where they will take part in a variety of technical and customer service tasks.
Ian Stewart, service manager at Jennings Ford in Gateshead is delighted with the youngsters progress, he said; “Tony has worked exceptionally hard and is keen to learn.
“Being shortlisted down to Ford’s Top Ten nationwide is an incredible achievement and we’re all delighted for him.
“He is fully committed to the job and will undoubtedly continue to succeed in the future.”
The largest of any vehicle manufacturer in the UK, Ford’s Master Apprenticeship Programme trains 1150 dealer employees nationwide.
Throughout his Apprenticeship, Tony gained practical ‘hands-on’ experience and worked alongside qualified technicians at Jennings Ford learning from their experience, developed the ability to work using his own initiative and as part of a team, in addition to attending college on a block release basis where he gained recognised qualifications.comments powered by
