Top technician receives loyalty reward at Jennings Ford

A member of aftersales staff at Jennings Ford, part of the multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group, has been rewarded for his loyalty to the company.

Dean Carne, 53, from Redcar, has achieved 15 years’ loyalty at the group’s Cargo Fleet Lane branch in Middlesbrough.

His career began with the region’s longest established motor dealer group in 2001, when he joined as a motor vehicle technician within the busy service department.  Over the years, Dean has been given the opportunity to work his way up the ranks to the highest level of master technician status, after successfully achieving senior master technician level.

Dean said; “It was always a personal ambition of mine to achieve the highest level in the industry and I am grateful to my employer for giving me the support and opportunity I needed in order to achieve this.”

The presentation took place at the Middlesbrough-based dealership where service manager, Bob Lloyd, presented Dean with his loyalty vouchers.

Bob said; “It was an absolute pleasure presenting Dean with his loyalty vouchers for achieving his first loyalty milestone.  He is a dedicated member of the service team with more than 33 years’ of experience in the motor industry.

“We actively encourage staff to progress their careers through various training and development programmes.”

Working as part of a 15-strong team, Dean is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and replacing parts under the bonnet for customers, using the latest tools and diagnostic equipment and genuine parts at the Middlesbrough-based dealership.

Prior to joining Jennings Ford, Dean spent four years working as a vehicle technician for a motor dealer in London and prior to that, he gained the majority of his experience working for 29 years for another motor dealer in the North East.

Jennings Motor Group staff are rewarded with loyalty vouchers when they accrue 15 years’ service, then they are presented after every five years.

The dealership in Middlesbrough sells the entire new Ford model line-up, in addition to providing a range of aftersales facilities, including service, MOT, accident repair centre and parts.
