2017 SEAT Leon revealed

Focusing on technology and improving engine efficiency, the new 2017 SEAT Leon is following on from the successful launch of the new SEAT Ateca. Incorporating the whole SEAT Leon range including the Cupra, X-Perience and SC, the new updates also see the quality of the Leon interior improve.

Amendments under the bonnet include the introduction of a 1.0l three-cylinder turbo 115bhp engine- an engine that has been successful with in the Audi A3 and VW Golf range. Additionally, a 1.6l 115bhp diesel engine is added to the range of options.

Technology additions include wireless mobile charging, Traffic Jam Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition helping to improve the SEAT Leon. Smart phone features including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is set to be included helping drivers to keep in contact while on the move.

Speaking about the new SEAT Leon 2017, SEAT’s Vice President for Research and Design, Dr Matthias Rabe, commented “If you look to the design you might say there is not a big change, and you’d be right. We really concentrated on the technology and we wanted to modify the car with small steps”. He added “We are quite sure the Leon will have the majority of the volume, it will be the backbone and will remain the most important model line to SEAT.”
