Facelift Ford Ranger revealed at Detroit Motor show

The Detroit Motor Show has seen Ford reveal an updated version of the Ford Ranger. Set to be released in 2019, the next generation will take the award-winning pick-up to the next level. Jennings Ford Transit Centre takes a look at what can be expected.

With subtle changes to the interior including a slightly smaller front grille and reshaped headlights, the new Ford Ranger has a fresh look. Set to be powered by a 2.3l EcoBoost engine and paired with a 10-speed auto gearbox, it will feature either 2WD and AWD options. An additional 3.0l diesel engine will be available. Trims are to include XI, XLT and Lariat editions.
Inside the cabin you will find SYNC 3 with Amazon Alexa, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. An additional standard feature will be a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot. Safety features are set to include lane assistance, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring.
Held annually at the Cobo Centre in Detroit, the North American International Auto Show sees the leading manufacturers reveal their latest models to the motor industry. The 2018 announcements include the next generation Ford Edge and Ford Mustang Bullitt edition.
