First review of new SEAT Tarraco

The new SEAT Tarraco has been put through its paces by a leading motoring publication ahead of its 2019 launch. Lookers, the new name for Jennings, takes a look at the review findings and what can be expected from the latest SEAT addition.

Auto Express was one of the first publications to get behind the wheel. As the third SUV to join the growing SEAT range, the new Tarraco shares the same MQB platform as the Skoda Kodiaq. With seven seats over three rows, the new SEAT Tarraco was found to “have all the practicality wrapped in a proper, chunky SUV”.

High-level specification

Testing the new SEAT Tarraco SE Technology, it came with climate control, 8” display, 18” alloy wheels and privacy glass as standard. Engine options include 1.5l 148bbhp and 2.0l 187bhp petrol engines and 2.0l diesel engines with 148bhp or 187bhp.

Superb storage capacity

With a very spacious interior, Auto Express claim “the 700-litre boot is about the biggest in this class, and it offers a maximum load bay of 1,775 litres if you drop all of the seats”.
