Ford reveals latest technology at Consumer Electronics Show

The world’s biggest technology show has seen leading manufacturers demonstrating the latest technology. With over 100,000 delegates and 3,900 exhibitors, Ford has used the opportunity to set their vision for the future.

Jim Hackett, CEO, used the show’s keynote opening speech to highlight the opportunity for Artificial Intelligence, autonomous and connected vehicles so street and cities can function in a more effective manor in the future. Announcing new self-driving technology with partner Postmates and Qualcomm to test cellular vehicle-to-everything technology (C-V2X) communications, Ford were kept busy throughout.
Also at CES 2018 Ford announced the introduction of Waze to future Ford vehicles. The highly popular community-based navigation and traffic will soon be available via SYNC 3. Utilizing a large touchscreen the smartphone will appear directly on it, while simple voice commands will connect with vehicle’s sound system. Additional SYNC AppLink partners announced included iHeartRadio, Ford+Alexa and WebEx.
