Utilising the Dagenham built EcoBlue 2.0l engine at the heart of the range, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version is set to be available shortly after launch. Utilising the engines used since 2016, the new Ford Transit Custom is set to offer 104bhp, 128bhp and 168bhp power outputs.
An ECOnetic variant is also set to be available on the 300 SWB that is calibrated for economic driving, has low rolling resistance tyres and auto-start stop technology. With a speed limit of 62mph, it is set to emit CO2 levels of just 148g/km and mpg rating of 49.6mpg.
The options will again offer two roof heights and two wheelbases, with variants including kombi, van and double-cab-in-van. The most notable change sees the front grille amended along with improved technology. Set to be based on the All-New Ford Fiesta, the interior will be improved to now include SYNC 2, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The launch date of the new Ford Transit Custom is yet to be announced. For further information about the Ford Commercial vehicle range call 0333 414 9750 to speak to a Ford specialist.
