Kia’s new GT Line arrives at Jennings

Customers visiting Jennings Kia, part of the multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group, are taking advantage of an entirely new sporty trim level, which offers a new turbocharged 1.0-litre engine and seven-speed automatic gearbox.

The new Kia cee’d GT Line, which made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, is the first car in Kia’s range to feature the manufacturer’s new, three-cylinder 1.0-litre T-GDi engine and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Available to test drive at the group’s Parsons Road dealership in Washington and the perfect choice for those seeking a sportier style, customers can choose between  three body types, including the five-door cee’d, three-door pro_cee’d and the cee’d Sportswagon.

David Phillips, franchise manager at Jennings Kia in Washington, said; “We’re delighted to be able to offer our customers the new Kia GT Line model range, which offers buyers the sporty looks of the high performance Kia cee’d GT and pro_cee’d GT and the versatility of the conventional cee’d and pro_cee’d family with enhanced power and efficiency.”

The GT Line specification evolves the design language of the cee’d GT and features ‘ice-cube’ LED daytime running lights and deeper bumpers surrounding Kia’s hallmark ‘tiger-nose’ grille.  At the rear of the car, both the cee’d hatchback and pro_cee’d include the wider GT bumper and twin exhausts, while the Sportswagon is fitted with central dual exhausts and a rear diffuser.

The GT model’s eye-catching side sill mouldings and rear LED light units are fitted as standard, in addition to a stylish new 17-inch alloy wheel design.

The interior of the cee’d GT Line has been given an upgrade with customers taking advantage of a higher quality, sportier ambience which is all inspired by the cabin of the turbo-powered cee’d GT and pro_cee’d GT models.  The GT Line boasts a classy, new grey, white and black upholstery with grey stitching, as well as a series of GT Line logos throughout the cabin and the same piano black and leather steering wheel and aluminium alloy pedals fitted to Kia’s high-performance GT models.

The dashboard is also equipped with a new aluminium start-stop button, GT inspired centre fascia design, illumination for the USB and aux-in ports and new chrome trim around the air vents and power window switches.

The car also comes with a ‘GT Mode’ button on the steering wheel, synthesising the 1.6-litre revving engine noise into the cabin.

Kia’s all-new 1.0-litre T-GDi engine, a downsized, three-cylinder power unit, which has specifically been engineered to improve fuel consumption and emissions, offers strong, willing performance and immediate responses to driver input.

The first of Kia’s upcoming range of downsized engines to make its debut in the UK, the new 1.0-litre T-GDi engine produces 120ps and 172Nm of torque and has been engineered to deliver lower C02 emissions than the 1.6-litre GDi engine found in other cee’d models.

The 1.0-litre cee’d is also equipped with Kia’s fuel-saving Idle Stop and Go system as standard, which improves emissions and fuel economy.

Customers who purchase a brand new motor from the Jennings Kia dealership in Washington, also benefit from receiving the manufacturer’s market-leading seven year, 100,000 mile peace of mind warranty package as standard.

In addition to offering the entire new Kia model line-up and a wide range of quality approved used cars, customers can also take advantage of a number of aftersales facilities available at the Parsons Road site, including service and MOT, as well as a parts department.
