Covered in the mandatory camouflage to attempt to keep prying eyes away, the Kia Xceed features were difficult to identify. Limited highlights made out included a raised ride height, cubed LED headlights, parking sensors and front mounted camera. The Kia XCeed SUV is set to fit in the new Kia range between the Stonic and Sportage models.
When asked about the introduction of a SUV version of the Kia Ceed, vice president of marketing, Artur Martins commented, “This is something we are putting on the table. There will be no three-door with this car so that gives us the chance to have another body type of the [Ceed] car”. highlighting the growth of KIA in the SUV market he added “We over perform in D-segment and SUVs – we have around 7 per cent market share. We have a chance to increase volume but we have to change the recipe, we have to come with a different proposition, something more relevant”.
