Kia Rio GT-Line set to debut at Geneva Motor Show

Kia will take the opportunity to launch a special GT-Line edition of the Rio at the legendary Geneva Motor Show. Ahead of the UK launch later in 2018, the sporty trim will be the latest edition to the Rio line up.

Looking to add a further sporty look to the new car range following the addition of the Kia Stinger, the Kia Rio GT-Line fits the brief perfectly. Incorporating a revised Stinger-esque front grille, black rear spoiler and 17” alloy wheels, it will also include synthetic black leather upholstery and interior metallic finishes. The in-car entertainment is control by a simple to use 7” infotainment screen that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard.
Set to be powered a turbocharged 1.0l three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 118bhp and 171Nm, it will feature a manual 6-speed inbox. Official fuel economy is listed as 60.1mpg and CO2 levels of 107g/km. Safety features will include many of the latest autonomous safety features. These will include Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance and Pedestrian Detection. Optional extras available will include heated steering wheel, rear-view parking camera and heated seats.

The retail prices for the Kia Rio GT-Line have yet to be revealed by Kia. This year’s Geneva Motor Show is set to be held between 8 and 18 March 2018.
