Set to be revealed later in the year, potentially at the Frankfurt Motorshow, the Kia Stonic will feature in the new car line up after the upcoming launches of the Kia Stinger and the updated Kia Picanto.
The potential Kia Stonic will not be the first time that Kia has entered the small SUV market. A Kia KX3 has been available in the China market since 2015, with the Kia Stonic developed with the European market demands in mind.
Kia Australia COO Damien Meredith previously stated that Kia will be entering the B-Segment crossover in 2017 and added that the Kia Provo concept will influence the look. Technical and specification details are not yet known, but it is likely to include features of the upcoming new Kia Rio.
