Powered by a 3.3l twin-turbo V6 petrol engine with an impressive 510Nm of torque, it features an eight speed automatic gear box that powers the rear wheel drive. With a 0-62 speed of 5.1 seconds, the Stinger GT is fastest Kia to date.
In a move that is a first for Kia, the Stinger GT includes adaptive dampers and allows drivers to select between a number of modes using a Kia Drive Mode Select system, damping and throttle response and gearshift strategy.
Test driven by select motor industry reviewers, the new Kia Stinger has been praised for offering a good driving position, spacious cabin, good legroom and a responsive V6 engine. Adding that for its weight and size the Kia Stinger GT feels agile and responsive when cornering.
Speaking about the impending launch of the Kia Stinger GT, Gregory Guillaume commented “The Stinger GT is a true Gran Turismo, a car for spirited long-distance driving,” He added. “It’s not about outright power, hard-edged dynamics and brutal styling all at the expense of luxury, comfort and grace. This car is all about the journey.”
