Legendary Ford Fiesta stars in The Apprentice task

After over 40 years of being on the UK roads, for one night only the Ford Fiesta was no more. Instead it became either the Miami or Expando as part of a marketing challenge on BBC 1 show The Apprentice.  Jennings Ford takes a look at how the two teams got on.

Tasked with creating a television advert and accompanying digital display, the two teams came up with campaigns that were greatly different from what Ford produces; especially a campaign themed around a Norman village (we are not sure if cars were around in the 11th century). The other team used the Miami theme but unfortunately created a campaign that looked like it was promoting holiday car rentals. With two poor campaigns to choose from, Lord Sugar opted to select the Miami as the winner and fire a member of the team that created the Expando brand.
