Mazda CX-5 2017 Review

Building on the success of the current Mazda CX-5, the new 2017 edition sees Mazda make subtle improvements both inside and out. Leading motoring publication Auto Express has recently test driven a pre-production model ahead of the official launch later in the year.

Impressed by the Mazda CX-5 out on the road Auto Express commented on the improvements on the existing CX-5 “Out on the road the CX-5 is excellent. It’s always been one of the best cars in its class to drive, and nothing’s changed there. In fact, with more ultra-high-tensile steel in the chassis and strengthening elsewhere for the body – increasing rigidity by 15 per cent – it’s even better than before”.

Offering improvements in boot capacity that has seen the Mazda CX-5 grow to an impressive 506 litres with an additional 20 litres available under the seating and ample headroom for passengers 6 foot and above.

Summing up the test drive Auto Express stated “The 2017 Mazda CX-5 is a car of incremental improvements. It’s nicer inside and is more refined, while also offering more kit, more practicality and more style.”
