Said to take inspiration from the XR-PHEV concept that was displayed at Geneva in 2015, it incorporated a new signature front grille that is set to be the look of all of Mitsubishi’s upcoming SUV ranges. Technical specifications are yet unknown, but could include Mitsubishi’s award-winning plug-in hybrid technology producing an impressive 160bhp with emission levels as low as 40g/km.
Speaking about the impending reveal a source commented “Design is increasingly at the forefront of Mitsubishi’s planning”, adding “It will take time for the changes to come through, and we will always have a certain utilitarian quality, but Land Rover has proved you can be both rugged and stylish, and we intend to follow that path.”
