New Ford Edge revealed ahead of leading Motor Show

Ford has revealed images of the Ford Edge 2018 ahead of its unveiling at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. As part of the update a ST-Line model will be added as an option in the UK market, as well upgrades to specifications and engine options.

New Ford Edge ST-Line
The Ford Edge range is set to see the introduction of a ST-Line edition. Featuring 20” alloy wheels as standard, dual chrome tip exhausts, powered front seats, aluminium sports pedals, leather interior, the ST-Line will have a true sporty feel. Further features will include Ford Adaptive Steering technology and sports tuned suspension.
Looking inside the Ford Edge 2018, it will feature an 8.0” touch screen with Ford SYNC 3 as standard. Featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, stay connected with your smartphone on the move. Additional options will include a B&O Play audio system, 3D digital instruments that can be personalised and wireless phone charging.
New diesel engine option
Featuring the option of a new Ford EcoBlue bi-turbo 2.0l diesel engine that produces 238bhp, the Ford Edge 2018 promises smooth acceleration and minimal noise and harshness. The engine will also be available in the option of 150 and 190bhp. A new eight-speed automatic gearbox option will complement the 6-speed manual.
New safety features
Helping to reduce the impact of secondary crashes, Post-Collision Braking applies modern braking pressure when required. Another new feature is Evasive Steering Assist that helps steering around slow moving or stopped vehicles and avoid crashing. Parking is made easier with active park assist with perpendicular parking.
