New Ford Focus RS Edition 2017 gains 5 star review
Posted on 04 Sep 2017
Since hitting the UK roads, the Ford Focus RS has been pushing the limits and the new 2017 Edition takes this even further. At its heart is a new factory fitted option package that offers mechanical limited slip differential to the front axle. To put it to the test leading motoring publication Auto Express put the 2017 Edition to the test.

Auto Express Verdict gives 5 Stars
Offering increased bite to the front end and more stability under braking, the new Ford Focus RS edition won over the Auto Express review team. At home on the track or road, the Ford Focus RS Edition differential was found to be “even more effective on tight and twisty roads, wet or dry, though it has to be said that it really only comes into play when you're exploring the outer envelope of the Focus RS's abilities.”
In awarding the Ford Focus RS 2017 edition the maximum 5 stars, the leading motoring publication commented “The Ford Focus RS had already proven to be worthy of the mega hatch tag, thanks to its balance of power, agility and value. But Ford Performance reckons that some buyers want even more from their five-door family car. The Focus RS Edition bundles a few choice extras with a new look and limited slip differential – but with only a tiny price hike. With no tangible downside, it makes a good car even better.”
