New Kia Optima Estate to launch
Posted on 04 Apr 2016
Looking to rival the Mazda6, Ford Mondeo and Vauxhall Insignia estate models that are already on the UK roads, Kia is set to launch an estate version of the award winning Kia Optima. Designed by Kia’s European design team, it is set to be based on the concept seen at the recent Geneva Motor Show.

Looking to achieve growth in the European market Kia see the Optima SW as the answer. Currently two thirds of all sales in its class are estate versions with Kia looking for the SW version to outsell the saloon version by six to one. It is set to be available with the choice of two engines, a 2.0l petrol with 242bhp as well as a 139bhp 1.7l turbo diesel.
Speaking about the introduction of the Kia Optima SW David Hart, Dealer Marketing Manager commented “It's a very stylish wagon. We didn't just want to make another wagon, we wanted something as stylish as the saloon so you don't have to make a choice between style and practicality”.
Due to arrive in our Kia and Washington dealerships in the autumn, prices and individual spec will be released closer to the time. For full details about the current saloon Kia Optima call 0333 414 9750 to speak to a Kia specialist today.
