With a racy 242bhp 2.0l petrol engine that can hit 0-62mph in just 7.4 seconds and a top speed of 149mph, the Kia Optima SW GT has been developed by former BMW M chief engineer Albert Biermann, helping to overhaul the existing Optima to be in line with the successful Cee’d GT.
A smooth 6-speed automatic gearbox is the gearbox of choice for the Kia Optima SW, with slick paddles providing the response needed. Offering a tailored ride, the ride of the Optima SW GT is 15mm lower than standard with adaptive suspension and larger brakes balancing comfort with the much anticipated agility. Twin exhausts and fine-tuned front and rear bumpers, reshaped seating with complimenting red stitching differentiates the Kia Optima SW from the rest of the range.
