New Kia Picanto makes world public debut

The eagerly awaited Kia Picanto has had its public launch at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Set to arrive at Jennings Kia later in the year, the new Kia Picanto will incorporate the signature Kia Tiger Nose Grille, muscular front bumper and be available in an impressive 11 different paint options.

Increasing in size by 15mm on the wheelbase to extend the distance between axles to 2,400mm from 2,385mm, the Picanto will have a tighter turning circle thanks to wheels pushed further to the corners.
The previous officially released photographs of the 2017 Kia Picanto were of the highly impressive top-spec GT-Line edition. When it arrives at Jennings Kia it is set to be additionally available in 1,2,3 editions. Under the bonnet a 98bhp engine will be the torquiest and most powerful ever with a top speed of 112mph and a 0-62 time of 10.1 seconds. While a 1.0 66 bhp will also be available.
High levels of specification are set to be included across the new Kia Picanto range. It is set to include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for hands-free communication as well as wireless phone charging and a 7” touchscreen in the centre of the dashboard.
Set to offer best in class bootspace of 255 litres, an increase of 55 litres on the current edition, it is set to offer practicality. This can be increased to an impressive 1,010 litres thanks to the handy 60/40 split rear seats.
Kia has yet to reveal the price of the 2017 Kia Picanto, but it will be available with Kia’s industry leading 7-year / 100,000 mile warranty as standard.
