New Mazda CX-9 enters production

The eagerly anticipated Mazda CX-9 has entered production ahead of it launch on the US market. Following high demand in the North American SUV market the Mazda CX-9 will initially be sold there prior to moving to other areas around the globe.

Built at Mazda’s Hiroshima factory, the CX-9 set to be powered by a 2.5l SKYACTIV-G turbocharged four-cylinder engine tailored to the original market. Equipped with new features, the new edition has been confirmed as increasing the size of the SUV and wheelbase to improve headroom for driver and passengers.
Looking to take on the biggest selling SUV brands Toyota and Ford, Mazda are aiming to sell 50,000 units this year with editions that vary widely to meet individual customer demands. It will incorporate three rows of seats for up to seven alongside multiple storage areas for less cluttered motoring.
