New Rio model launches at Jennings Kia

There’s a new car on the block and it’s been delivered to Jennings Kia, part of the multi-award winning Jennings Motor Group.
The fourth-generation Kia Rio, previewed at the Paris Motor Show last autumn, is on display and available to test drive at Jennings Kia’s Stockton and Washington branches.

Priced from just £11,995, the latest model comes with high-tech new engines, improved fuel efficiency and emissions, a more mature driving experience, greater space and style and the introduction of state-of-the-art connectivity and driver assistance systems for the first time.
Customers can also take advantage of the manufacturer’s market-leading seven-year/100,000-mile peace of mind warranty.
To mark the arrival of the latest model, the group’s Stockton and Washington-based Jennings Kia dealerships are holding a test drive launch event for customers this weekend.
From Friday 3rd February through to and including Sunday 5th February, the first 10 customers who take a test drive and place an order at each dealership will automatically receive Kia’s Care-3 servicing package free of charge – the promotion is exclusive to Jennings Kia. Steven Flack, franchise manager at Jennings Kia in Stockton, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer the new Kia Rio to customers and to also be able to offer Kia’s Care-3 service package, which covers the cost of the first three services free of charge, to the first 10 people at each dealership who place an order over the course of the launch weekend.
“The Rio is Kia’s best-seller and we expect sales to continue to increase as a result of the new model, which is competitively-priced and economical to run.”
Now sold as a five-door, customers can take advantage of 10 versions in three trim grades – badged 1, 2 and 3 for simplicity, and a limited-run First Edition model as the pinnacle of the range – priced at £17,445.
The entry level Rio 1 model is fitted as standard with air conditioning, front electric windows with an automatic function on the driver’s side, remote locking, electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, a 3.8-inch display screen, Bluetooth, automatic light control, bi-function projection headlamps and cornering lights and LED daytime running lights. It also comes with body-coloured bumpers, door mirror casings and door handles, steering-wheel mounted audio controls and 60:40 split rear seats. A four-speaker audio system is standard, while safety provisions include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and Hill Start Assist Control (HAC).
The top-of-the-range First Edition version adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a smart key entry system and engine start/stop button, stainless steel pedals, black and red faux leather upholstery and LED rear lights.
Depending on the model, the new Rio is available in a choice of seven exterior colours, including Sienna Brown, Clear White, Satin Silver, Graphite, Midnight Black, Smokey Blue and Blaze Red.
The new Rio is the first in its class with Autonomous Emergency Braking as part of Kia’s advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Other models available in the Kia range include the Picanto, Soul, Venga, cee’d GT, new cee’d, cee’d Sportswagon, new pro_cee’d and pro_cee’d GT, in addition to the Sorento, Optima, Optima PHEV, Sportage and all-new petrol-electric Niro hybrid.
In addition to selling the new Kia model line-up, Jennings Kia also provides a range of aftersales facilities to customers, with a service, MOT and parts department on site at both dealerships.
