New SEAT Ateca Cupra rumoured to be in the pipeline

Having recently announced that the SEAT Ateca was to be launched later in 2016, Auto Express has revealed that a Cupra version is set to be also introduced at the Paris Motorshow. Set to compete against the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and VW Tiguan, the Ateca Cupra is set to heavily feature a sporty look with aggressive feel.
Rumoured to be powered by a 300bhp 2.0l turbo engine, that when fitted to a Golf R offers 296bhp and a 0-62mph time of under five seconds – the Ateca Cupra is set to be around the six seconds mark. The ride height will be lowered from the standard Ateca height to reduce body roll when cornering, feature a unique honeycomb front grille and race defined twin exhaust pipes at the rear.

Adding to the excitement of the SEAT Ateca Cupra announcement it is rumoured to be fitted with fitted with an exclusive Cupra mode that will stiffen the adaptive dampers, enhance the throttle response and give a throatier sound at the touch of a button.
Offering practicality and comfort thanks to an impressive 485 litres of boot capacity and rearing seating for three passengers. Cupra touches will feature throughout the Ateca including a flat bottomed steering wheel, aluminium pedals and a splattering of red Cupra trim.
