New Top Gear Host Rates New Kia Sorento
Chris Evans is getting in the swing of things for his upcoming role as host of the next series of TopGear by writing car reviews as part of a column for the Daily Mail online. The latest of which sees the car loving star review the latest offering from Kia – the new Kia Sorento SUV.
With an opening paragraph that includes the lines “…once you’re in Kia’s SUV, wow! It’s like a luxurious cross between BMW and Audi” you know that it has impressed the car enthusiast. Scoring 4 stars out of a maximum of 5, the seven seat Kia Sorento is described as a “BMW from the waist down and Audi from the waist up”, the new Sorento is a move into the luxury SUV market for Kia and with high levels of specification as standard, a variety of interior and exterior it does not disappoint.

The revolutionary Kia seven year or 100,000 mile transferable peace of mind warranty is available as standard across the new Kia Sorento range that includes KX-1, KX-2, KX-3 and KX-4 levels of spec. Powered by a punchy 2.2 litre diesel engine, a top speed of 124mph and an MPG of 42.2 on a combined cycle, the Kia Sorento has Evans “..in awe and then some”.
But as highlighted in the column the spelling of “Sorento” only has one ‘r’ as opposed to the two that feature in the spelling of the picturesque Italian town with the same name. Did you also notice the different spelling? Apparently Sorento is a small town in Illinois with a population of just 500 – you learn something new every day?
