Featuring an updated ‘Tiger nose’ grille, a deep muscular front bumper and sleek headlights, the updated hatchback sees Kia look to replicate the design theme used on the Rio. Teasing the unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show, Kia has announced that it will be joined by “another member” of the Cee’d family.
Recently spied undergoing testing, the interior images show a central information system. Repositioned to mid-height in the dashboard, it is bordered by sleek air vents. Other features identified include SD-Card, AUX-In and USB sockets. When spied undergoing road tests in Europe recently, the camouflaged car was seen as having the Rio style LED daytime running lights and upright bonnet.
Speaking about the upcoming unveiling Artur Martins, Kia Marketing Manager, commented “The five-door hatch is the five-door hatch – it will not be very different to what you know. We are going to have very big improvements over the old hatch, but we need to look at it with a broader perspective to see how Cee’d as a range can fit all the needs of consumers in that segment.” In a branding change the next generation is set to see the ‘ removed with the hatchback simply known as the Kia Ceed. Jennings Motor Group will be keeping an eye out at Geneva Motor Show for further announcements and specifications.
