SEAT Ateca FR set for summer 2017 launch

Since its launch in 2016 the SEAT Ateca has been wowing both the motor industry and drivers alike. Following on from this SEAT has announced that a performance FR version is to be added to the award winning Ateca range.

Powered by a 2.0l TSi petrol engine that produces 187bhp, the Ateca is to join the existing Ibiza and Leon FR models in the SEAT new car range. Additional engine options are set include a 2.0l TDI 148nhp / 187bhp as well as a lower power 1.4TSI petrol engine. Internal improvements include aluminium FR scuff plates, leather sports steering wheel and information that are complemented by the signature red FR stitching.
Performance 18” Alloy wheels are set to come as standard, with larger 19” available as optional extras. The 2.0l versions are set to be available in AWD, as well as progressive steering and dynamic chassis control.
Rumoured to join the FR in the SEAT range is a full fat Cupra edition that could offer up to a mouth-watering 300bhp output. Jennings SEAT will continue to watch out for the Ateca Cupra undergoing testing the coming months.
