Third generation Kia Ceed Revealed

Ahead of the launch of the Ceed at the Geneva Motor Show, Kia has released images and details of what can be expected. Since its launch in 2006 over 1.28m have been produced including 640,000 of the second generation.

Designed and engineered in Germany, the Ceed (with the ‘ dropped from the name) the five door hatchback is set to arrive at Jennings Kia dealerships later in 2018. Exclusively engineered for European road conditions, the third generation Ceed is set to feature a new fully-independent suspension system will provide drivers with more agile and immediate handling responses. Taking the road conditions of Europe in to account the Ceed will offer tighter control when cornering and increased stability at higher speeds.
With innovation at its heart, the Kia Ceed is set to feature a ‘floating’ infotainment system. Available with a 5.0” or 7.0” touchscreen audio system or a 8.0” touchscreen navigation system, standard technology includes Bluetooth smartphone integration as well as automatic lights and keyless entry.
Speaking about the launch Michael Cole, Chief Operating Officer for Kia Motors Europe commented “The Kia Ceed has been a lynchpin in the brand’s consistent growth across Europe for more than a decade. Created for European buyers, the introduction of the Ceed in 2006 represented a watershed moment for Kia”. He added “Building on these solid foundations, the all-new Ceed offers a truly contemporary and recognisable design, and advanced technologies to enhance comfort, convenience and safety. Its new engines and suspension will make it more enjoyable and engaging to drive, and will continue to offer the same high quality that customers expect from Kia. This will be one of the most innovative cars in its class.”
