Upgraded Cee D Range Available Now At Jennings Kia

The first model range to feature Kia’s new ecoTurbo petrol engine, which brings reductions of up to 25 per cent in fuel consumption and C02 emissions, the upgraded range is expected to be a success with motorists across Wearside.

Developed at Kia’s Namyang research and development facility in Korea, the ecoTurbo, which was announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2015, is more environmentally friendly and cost efficient.  The new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission available exclusively on the 1.6 CRDi engine – was also developed in-house at Namyang – offers buyers the smoothness and comfort of an automatic, with the sportiness of a manual.

David Phillips, sales controller at the Jennings Kia branch in Washington, said; “The new cee’d family has arrived and we can’t wait to show it off to our customers.  The improvements made are further proof that Kia does have the power to surprise and as the first model to feature the new ecoTurbo petrol engine, we expect they’ll be a hit.”

Also available at Jennings Kia is the cee’d GT-Line, which is perfect for those seeking sportier styling.  Distinguished by a deep front bumper and flanked by ice cube-style LED daytime running lights, the GT-Line boasts dual exhausts, or twin tailpipes on the Sportswagon, 17-inch alloys and is available on all three body styles.  The interior, boasts a leather steering wheel and faux black leather door inserts with silver stitching and black glass trims, adding to the luxurious feel.  The car also comes with a ‘GT Mode’ button on the steering wheel, synthesising the 1.6-litre revving engine noise into the cabin.

The cee’d family introduces a range of additional driver comfort and convenience features.  Depending on the grade, the cee’d is now available with a Speed Limit Information Function – which automatically reads speed limit signs and informs the driver – Blind Spot Detection and 7-inch navigation screen with Kia connected services featuring TomTom®, helping  to make the driving experience much smoother.  A DAB radio with MP3 compatibility comes as standard across the range.
