What is Ford Direct?

Posted on 31 Aug 2013

Ford is the most popular car manufacturer in the UK. The Ford Focus is officially the biggest selling nameplate in the world, with sales of the compact growing by 20 per cent in the first half of 2013. Further adding to the company’s dominance on these shores and abroad, the Ford Fiesta is the fourth bestselling vehicle in the world and the biggest seller in the UK and Europe, according to Polk global vehicle registration data.

If you are looking to upgrade your car, you will not go far wrong with a Ford. Of course, buying one brand new through a dealer is often more than many drivers can afford, which is why many buyers look towards Ford Direct.

Quality vehicles at reduced prices

According to Ford, the Ford Direct arm of the company is ‘the safe and easy way to buy a nearly new Ford’.

Ford Direct is the company’s central stock of nearly new vehicles that arrive back at Ford having been returned from short-term lease (i.e., rental company use or fleet demonstrators). These vehicles are then refurbished, inspected and sold on at a reduced price with a wide range of benefits.

“To give you complete peace of mind, all our cars are prepared to stringent Ford safety and quality standards, as well as being inspected and approved by the RAC,” Ford says on its Ford Direct homepage. “Every vehicle comes with a two year unlimited mileage warranty and two years’ Ford Assistance roadside recovery.”

Each of the vehicles sold via Jennings Ford Direct must comply with the specification for new Ford vehicles and are required to include spare keys, tool kits, and service packs. As the buyer, you will also benefit from any replacement parts being approved and fitted by Ford and a full service history with each vehicle.

3.Interior trim and condition.

4.Vehicle instrumentation and control functionality.

5.In-car entertainment and satellite navigation systems (where applicable).

6.Servicing history.

7.All fluid levels.

11.Vehicle engine note.

Finance deals and warranty

Ford Direct vehicles are available through Ford authorised dealerships only, which may limit their availability in your area. However, this method of delivery allows Ford to ensure each car meets its standards in quality and service.

As well as being available at reduced prices, cars and vans are afforded similar finance packages to new vehicles and come with a two-year unlimited mileage warranty, which includes a 30-day exchange plan if you are unhappy with your purchase.
