Question

I have an ongoing problem with the headlights on my car. They have been dull for a while, so I bought stronger watt bulbs, but these seem to overload the fittings and keep blowing. What do you recommend?

Answer

You could check the reflectors in the headlights. These can corrode and reduce the effectiveness of the lamps. If these appear to be OK, you are advised to try the new halogen headlight bulbs. These give a more natural, blue light and can be bought from any of the Jennings parts departments.
