Just brought a Fiesta 1.4 Ghia X, R reg (1998) for my wife but the remote central locking does not work.
I have no manuals with car but looking on internet there is a procedure to follow that should restore the central locking. Unfortunately this is for a 1996 model but i do have the 2 button remote.
I failed to understand the procedure because it's not very clear as whether the car (receiver) is being set up from the key fob for vice versa or both!!
It describes pointing the key fob at the receiver in the car but the confusion comes when talking about master keys and or in my case both keys together making up the master!!
Could you please help me with the procedure and at the same time explain what it is that is going on so that the procsedure makes sense.
check the battery then a dealer needs to code in the remote
