Question

Can you please confirm the law governing seat belts and age limits? I am confused, especially when it comes to carrying children in the front seat. I have an 11-year-old daughter who wants to sit in the front. Is it legal?

Answer

The law states that a child should be 12 years old, but children can travel in the front if a suitable booster cushion or child seat is fitted. Rear facing child seats should NOT be used if a passenger side airbag is fitted.
