Question

I own a 2005 Focus Zetec 2.0 TDCI. It's approaching the 60000 mark so I thought it was time to change the timing belt. Two seperate mechanics have told me they have a timing chain on the 2 litre diesels and should last the life of the engine. Is this true?

Answer

your vehicle has a timing belt and it should be changed at 125,000 miles or 10 years whichever the sooner
