Ford Active City Stop

Helping to reduce slow speed collisions, Active City Stop helps prevent low speed collisions by scanning the road ahead for obstacles 50 times every second. Helping to prevent accidents at speeds of up to 10mph and reducing impact at speeds of up to 20mph, Active City Stop automatically applies the brakes to deliver maximum breaking response, reduces engine torque and applies the car’s hazard warning lights.

Active City Stop is deactivated if driver acceleration or steering is detected – with the system detecting the potential accident has been identified.
