Giving the possibility to carry items up to 3m in length on a short wheelbase (L1) or 3.4m with a long wheel-base (L2), a flip-up hatch allows storage beneath the seating. There is capacity for two Euro-pallets (L1) or four 8’x4’ material sheets (L2).
Speed limiting technology
The optional Intelligent Speed Assist is designed to enhance your driving experience by limiting the vehicle speed. Allowing you to concentrate on the road ahead a front mounted Traffic Sign Recognition camera scans for the current speed limit (when activated). The system then automatically adjusts the speed and sets a new maximum speed.
With the ability to detect both pedestrians and vehicles in the road ahead, Pre-Collision Assist warns of potential incidents. Pedestrians that may be about to cross in the path of the New Ford Transit Connect are event identified. With urban driving in mind, the system functions at speeds of up to 50 mph. Other Ford driver assistance technology includes Intelligent Speed Assist, Side Wind Stabilisation and Pedestrian Detection.
